3.4 Class 2, Repositionable bonding- Adhesives shall remain tacky after solvent evaporation. Adhesives shall allow bonded material to be lifted off the glue line and repositioned without loss of bond strength. However, no fibers will be left in the glue line when pulled apart after solvent evaporation.
3.5 Viscosity- The viscosity of the adhesive shall be not less than 2500 centipoise nor more than 5000 centipoise when tested in accordance with ASTM D 1084, Method B, using a Brookfield RVF viscometer (or equivalent) with a #2 spindle and a velocity of 4 rpm.
3.6 Form B, Aerosol- Products shall be capable of producing a uniform spray pattern that is free of lumps or excessively big drops. The cans shall be adequately pressurized with a non-ozone depleting propellant capable of expelling at least 95% of the contained adhesive.
3.7 Drying time- Type I solvent products shall be dry in 10 minutes or less. Type II water based products shall be dry in 30 minutes or less.
3.8 Solvent and propellant properties- Solvents used shall not be photochemical reactive, foul-odored, toxic, or contain ozone depleting substances.
4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
4.1 The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition regulation.
5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
6. PACKAGING. Packaging, preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order.
